Stay Safe Buckeyes
When are we going to keep our young people safe? How many more active shooters need to attack campuses, elementary schools, malls, workplaces? THIS IS BULLSHIT!
POTUS Strikes Again
I have made no effort to hide how much I love our President. So add this to the list of reasons.
I’ve ranted about gun violence in this space repeatedly. After Sandy Hook and no new law, I knew we’d never see it from Congress. But then… [sound of triumphant horn blaring] Obama whips out his executive privilege! Thank GOD!!!!
Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad… And by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day.
For those thinking of voting for any candidate who promise to repeal this new executive order, SHAME!
It’s Not What You Think
Columbine High School shooting
Virginia Tech campus massacre
Ft. Hood shooting spree
Shooting at rally in Tuscan, Ariz.
Aurora, Col. movie theater shooting
Thwarted Family Research Council shooting
Massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary
What do all of these tragedies have in common?
The shooters all had mental health issues. What else needs to happen for us to stop sweeping mental health difficulties under the rug? Do not misundertand. All of these individuals are accountable. My point is many lives could have been saved if concerns about the mental stability of these people would have been addressed or taken seriously. And we still haven’t learned.

Guns: Senate Vote Today
I don’t get the point of legislation that would not include a ban on assault weapons. Meanwhile the Mayors Against Gun Violence launch a $12 million campaign hoping someone will notice.
REALLY?!???
I mean, I understand “baby steps” and I hear Feinstein talking about getting it on record even if that portion fails, but what will a gun control law change if it’s not controlling guns? Decreased magazine size, more dollars for school security, etc. But really?
I remain disgusted…
Alabama Standoff Continues
So this crazy bastard has a five year-old in a bunker and our representatives want to fight gun control. What will we say to the parents if this thing goes bad?
When you get this post, email and call your representatives and tell them to co-sponsor legislation to tighten access to guns (or introduce legislation in your state). Encourage your family and networks to do the same.
Don’t wait until gun violence intimately touches your life because if we don’t do anything, it will. Trust me, I know.
