Eleven year-old Maleik Carr of Dublin, GA saved his sister on Monday from two pitt bulls that entered their yard. As they came toward the five year-old girl, he put himself in front of her and told her to run.

Maleik is doing well after emergency surgery for 23 bites to his legs. He also sustained four bites to his hands. His father said he tried not to cry when his saw his son’s legs since Maleik had been so brave.

I’m tearing up just reading the story. I don’t know many adults who would have the presence of mind to be so calm and determined. His sister and parents are blessed to have such a fierce protector in Maleik.
