I am still trying to wrap my mind around the outrageous lie told by U.S. Olympic swimmer, Ryan Lochte. He is not a kid, far from it… although his behavior is indicative of one.

His actions are the exact opposite of what the Olympics are about. He should be beyond ashamed. There is no way that he didn’t understand the impact this type of robbery would have on Rio. This city has been uber anxious about crime especially during the games. Not to mention the preceding violence and unrest because of the existing inequities suffered by the people. With that said, who do you think they were going to blame for this “crime”? They were probably rounding up folks…

While everyone was grateful that the athletes were safe, there was footage of their disrespectful shenanigans. Lochte was stateside hiding behind his lawyer. SMDH…

Thank you to the Brazilian authorities for being tenacious with their investigation. I am hopeful that the Brazilian people don’t paint us all with the same brush. 

I’m so disgusted that I have no more words… well maybe a few…

Perhaps people could rethink all of the outrage that they had toward Gabby Douglas for not putting her hand to her heart during the U.S. national anthem.
